Hoops for Heart

The LRMS Physical Education Department is excited to provide an opportunity to contribute to the Hoops for Heart fundraising program in support of the American Heart Association. Last week, your child was given a letter with all the information needed to join our team and make a donation. All proceeds received through the program will make a difference by helping kids with heart disease. The Physical Education Department is excited about raising money for other kids with hearts that don't exactly work right. These donations will help fund new medicines and treatments yet to be discovered. Please help us make a difference. You may visit through February 26th to make an online donation. Please click here for more information.

Thank you so much,

LRMS PE Department

Office 365 for Students

All students at LRMS have received instruction through their language arts classes regarding how to log in to their Office 365 accounts. To access their account, students may use the Outlook Web Access link on the left side navigation bar of the LRMS website and enter the log-in credentials provided during classroom instruction. If a student has forgotten their username or password, they may come to the library to fill out a Password Help Request. Students will then be given a temporary password to access the Password Self-Service application, also linked on the left side navigation bar of the LRMS website, which will allow them to reset their Office 365 password. The Password Self-Service application may only be accessed from a school-networked computer, so all password help requests must be handled here at school. If you have any questions about Office 365 or the Password Self-Service, you may visit the Microsoft Office 365 resources on the Instructional Technology page of the PWCS website or contact Ms. Del Gaudio, Instructional Technology Coach at LRMS.

Please eShare your pictures quickly, as we are constantly selecting images to meet deadlines. Provide as much detail as possible, including names and grades, for each photo. The more you eShare, the better our coverage can be.

Inclement Weather Policies & Procedures

With the cooler weather quickly approaching, now might be a good time to review the Prince William County Schools Inclement Weather policies and procedures. Please click here for a letter from Dr. Walts regarding PWCS delayed opening and school closing information. You may also visit the PWCS Inclement Weather page for more information.
Cell Phone & Dress Code Reminders

Students should come to school dressed to learn. Shorts must be finger-tip length and all shirts must have a defined sleeve and be long enough to cover midriffs. If a child wears leggings or jeggings, the shirt must be finger-tip length. To help support our students, we will be reminding them the first three days of school. After we review the Code of Behavior on Wednesday, September 9th, if a student is dressed inappropriately, an administrator will have the student change into their P.E. uniform.

Cell phones should be off and out of sight while in the school building. The only exception to this would be if the cell phone is being used for instructional purposes and its use has been approved by the teacher. Cell phones must be out of sight until a student has exited the building. Confiscated cell phones must be retrieved by a parent or guardian.
